How to Vote

During ArtPrize, the general public chooses who takes home $250,000 in cash prizes

Anyone over 16 can register to vote in person during the event. Using mobile devices and the Internet, you determine the winners.

How To Vote At ArtPrize

  • Download the App

    The ArtPrize mobile app is available for Apple or Android devices. Sign in with e-mail or Facebook to get started.

  • Register to Vote

    Visit downtown Grand Rapids during ArtPrize and open the mobile app on your phone. GPS will verify your location and prompt you to Register.

  • Vote for Entries

    Use the app to explore venues, find art, and vote for the entries you love. You decide the Public Vote winners of ArtPrize!

Vote Using the Mobile App

If you have a smartphone, download the free ArtPrize app for iPhone or Android to make voting super easy as you explore the event.

You can use the app to discover venues and art near you, browse a full list of entries, or search for a specific entry, venue, or artist.

Vote by either tapping the thumbs-up icon and entering the Artist Vote Code (displayed beside each entry), or by tapping the "Vote for this Entry" button on an Entry screen.

Vote Online

Sign in to your account and navigate to the Find Art page to find the art you’ve seen and liked. Then simply click the thumbs-up icon beside an Entry to cast your vote.

You can use the website to search for entries by title, artist name, or by Artist Vote Code, browse and filter art by venue or category, or even discover new art through Lists.

Vote Via SMS

Vote on the go by texting Artist Vote Codes (displayed beside each entry) to 808080. To vote by text, add your mobile phone number to your account and follow the simple set-up instructions in the confirmation text message.

If you vote by text message, you’ll also receive a confirmation of each vote by text as required by your texting service. Text message votes will appear in your online voting history on shortly after.

Review and Change Your Votes

After you’ve voted, you can view your voting history online—and easily change your vote—by signing in to your account on Click here to sign in.

You can change your votes at any time during Round 1. During Round 2, you can change your final vote up until the end. Go out and see art, and have fun!
