Young-Ly Hong Chandra is a Seoul, Korea born artist. She earned BFA from Korea University with concentration in art installation. She brings art as medium of connecting with God and people. As her life has been quite transient with constant moves between several different countries, She lives in tension in between 'momentary' and 'permanent', 'homelessness' and 'homeness', 'alien' and 'citizen', ‘nomad’ and ‘settler’. Along the way of finding her 'belonging' and questioning “Where is my home?”, she found art making is her way of creating ‘home’ where she dwells in, and invite others into the intimate space. She desires extending her hospitality with hope of healing and renewal of individual and culture though sharing her arts.
