In the creation of fine art photography, my focus has been to work with the compositional elements of naturally occurring colors, shapes, textures, lines, and forms found throughout our world. Trusting my aesthetic intuition to inform and guide the creation of my art, I have strived to isolate the central subject or theme of my images while creating a unified, balanced and harmonious composition. It has been my intent to create a body of work that celebrates and honors the world in which we live; to construct a visual vocabulary that describes the wonder, magic and mystery that exist in our universe. I hope my photography captures more than just a record of subjects and locations. As Minor White, the famous photographer said, "One should not only photograph things for what they are, but for what else they are." It is my hope that viewers of my images will see what is in the photograph and what else there is as well.
