A premier convention center located in downtown Grand Rapids. Nestled beside the Grand River, the picturesque riverfront setting is the perfect backdrop for ArtPrize. In 2018 DeVos Place celebrated 10 years of participating in ArtPrize. DeVos Place has long served as a catalyst, and a vital space to convene, think, witness, ponder, and/or inspire you to be engaged in art. We are excited to be part of this daring adventure that offers the perfect gathering spot for artists and art lovers! It is our desire that your ArtPrize experience at DeVos Place will be full of fun, creativity, a little tension, honest conversation and a modicum of humor.
Artwork will be displayed in our front entrance/street front window. The window space is angled and is 11 feet high and at a majority of the space is 77 inches wide. Spot lighting would be necessary for art to be viewed appropriately.

Pop up shows, community parties, classes, weddings and more- we welcome you to experience your own wonderland. each minute you spend in our cozy space will inspire you. You will find us writing curriculum for Kent District Libraries, hosting our own classes, curating local venues, organizing artist markets and doing a lot of community outreach through public space design and killer street parties, After Dark GR. Our goal is to serve to community by honoring the powers of inclusive space, locally made art, community initiatives and educational experiences. we are here to deliver these advancements at an affordable cost. MCC is an emerging Christian faith community whose mission is “Connecting our downtown community with our life-changing God.” As image-bearers of the Creator, we seek to honor God through celebrating the creative talents of our members, friends, and the community. Each year for ArtPrize, we conduct a 4-week series of worship services based upon themes generated by selected art that we host. We typically have an opening reception, an open-mic artist night, a kids' art day, and can host special receptions for a small fee. We typically host many K-12 school class trips at our venue. We are Barrier-Free, have a drinking fountain, restrooms, a mom's nursing space available, and offer packaged snacks for donation. Our venue has a loyal following and is often reviewed and written about by local arts writers. In 2017, MCC was one of the 5 finalists for Outstanding Venue, and hosted one of the jury finalists in the 3-D category, "Bloodline".

Grand Valley Artists was founded in 1957 – it is one of the oldest art groups in the Midwest, and the oldest in Michigan. Not happy with the then-popular modern art focus of the local art community, Bill Kubiak, Armand Merizon, and Carl Forslund decided to start a group to focus instead on realism and traditional art. GVA has grown to be a place where artists of all levels and media are welcome to meet, discuss, learn, and grow. With over 270 members, we've come to embrace all styles – from representational to abstract to non-representational art, in all its forms – in our various sketch sessions, plein air sessions, photography sessions, critiques, and programs, as well as monthly workshops. GVA is proud to be a participating venue in ArtPrize 2020 at this iconic location again! We look forward to showcasing the work of many of our members as well as the work of artists we feel will add to the creative spirit of our organization.
