Welcome! We are thrilled to be an ArtPrize venue for the first time! ArtPrize is the largest art competition in the world, and we are proud that it is right in our backyard here in Grand Rapids. Our venue sees 7-8,000 visitors a day just in passenger traffic, and we hope to see familiar faces stopping, but also the daily flow of people in and out of GRR who may be here on business or visiting loved ones. Our venue is hosting seven artists who are from as close as Ada, to as far away as Mexico and New Zealand! Art is located in three locations: outdoors under our "Welcome Wall" canopy, in the east end of our terminal building near the Valet Parking ticket counter, and upstairs in our Observation Area. This is also a great spot for aviation enthusiasts since you can view art, look down on our security checkpoint, and get a view of our airfield operations. Stop by and see us, and don't forget to vote for your favorite artists!!
With 3 "escape rooms" and an event room, The Ruse Escape Rooms promises an exciting and interactive experience for groups, corporate events or individuals. Small Post Office Boxes will make up this official venue located inside the United States Postal Service - Ledyard Station, 120 Monroe Center NW. PO (Art)Box is specializing in small artwork since scale is often a majority factor in ArtPrize entries. Curator Sierra Cole says, "We all know that ArtPrize is about having a conversation about art, we just feel that most of the time that conversation revolves around large scale works of art. We want to flip that conversation and talk about how small works of art are just as viable as large scale works. They are just as challenging, time consuming, and complex as their large counterparts." PO (Art)Box will be viewable during business hours inside the Post Office lobby. After hours, the artwork can be viewed from a custom made outdoor mailbox bank that will be located just outside the Ledyard Post Office. PO (Art)Box is curated by Sierra Cole, Todd Ramquist and is part of the Safety Harbor Art and Music Center Collective.

The early Christian church was one of the greatest patrons of the arts, so we believe that it is natural that today both artists and observers find the church as home to the arts and a place to hear God’s voice through artistic expression. For 43 years, First United Methodist Church has presented its annual "Celebration of the Arts", one of the largest juried spiritual art shows in the U.S. Works have included artists from many faith and spiritual traditions.

The incorporation of contemporary art within the nation's important civic spaces celebrates the best of American culture and exemplifies how democratic societies benefit immeasurably from the unique, creative talents of individual citizens. Federal Buildings are public buildings, meant to be enjoyed and utilized by the people of this nation. ArtPrize presents a unique opportunity to encourage people to visit the Federal Building and stroll the grounds to view the artwork.
