Susan Tennant, born and raised in New Jersey. She is a founding faculty of the IU School of Informatics and Computing, IUPUI from which she retired in 2016. Susan received a BFA from SUNY Alfred University’s School of Art and Design; a MS from the School of Informatics and Computing and a MFA from Herron School of Art and Design at IUPUI. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, Washington, D.C., Lafayette Museum of Art and Indiana State Museum among other private collections. She has shown her work most recently at the Manifest Gallery in Cincinnati, Ohio and Gallery 924 at the Arts Council of Indianapolis. Susan received an Arts Council of Indianapolis Creative Renewal Arts Fellowship in 2006. In 2010 she published a textbook, Once Upon a Digital Story: A Modern Approach to an Ancient Art. This is Susan's first time at Artprize 2017. Susan welcomes the opportunity to exhibit her work and welcomes consideration for commissions.
