These images are only examples of my work; they are not necessarily of what I will enter. I am working on new work. The Chechen Itza bowl might be an entry but there are more ceramics to enter and more new paintings. I have hung 5 paintings at the De Vos Center; there were no accommodations for the ceramic pieces. The titles for them are (from left to right): Sculpture Garden, Memories, Freedom Dance, Indecision, Inspirations. Sculpture Garden actually began in my friends' sculpture garden in Durango Colorado, the only painting so far that my inspiration came from a visual. Memories is a much distorted self-portrait with Santa Fe NM visions surrounding me. Freedom Dance seems to express happiness in letting go of the past and is pregnant with newness. Indecision tells the story of mixed and confusing symbols and possibilities. Inspirations tells of the free spirit of creation and wonder.
