SiTE:LAB @ 54 Jefferson
SiTE:LAB is returning to 54 Jefferson, formerly home to the Grand Rapids Public Museum, for ArtPrize 2013. Vacant since the museum moved to the Van Andel Museum Center in 1994, 54 Jefferson was left largely intact. Extant dioramas, showcases and exhibits will provide a unique environment for an exhibition of largely site-specific and installation-based work selected by SiTE:LAB curator Paul Amenta. SiTE:LAB is a Grand Rapids-based non-profit that organizes art exhibits in temporary locations. It was the recipient of the ArtPrize juried award for best venue in both 2011 and 2012. 54 Jefferson is being made available to SiTE:LAB through the generosity of the Grand Rapids Public Museum and the City of Grand Rapids. SiTE:LAB's ArtPrize exhibition is sponsored by BISSELL.
