I am excited about my first ever art display! I am a self-taught textile and hand embroidery artist that mixes textile, thread, and beads to create art. I have been embroidering and appliqueing since I was seven years old. I enjoy making historically inspired embroidery. These are always infused with bright-colored imagery. Recently my series of 1920s ladies and scenes have been a focus. Other works include textile landscapes, animals, period dresses, and wonky houses. I use the sewing machine to create the background then add elements such as fabric, organza, thread, and seed beads to create the scene by hand. For my personal life, I live in Pataskala, Ohio (southeast of Columbus) with my husband. We have six children and six grandchildren.
