Rob Henderson, is a self taught artist and resides in Detroit, Michigan. The signs of ingenuity were present even in his youth as he dibbled in art; assembling and creating things. He set it aside for a while when his interest turned to sports. After a brief athletic career, his affection reverted back to his love of art. After designing and building Zen gardens for a number of years, Rob started using found objects to bring architectural interest into the space. This process opened up many creative outlets. The inspiration for his latest project called the Circle Series, created in 2013, is a testament to his life (from art to sports, back to art) and was developed as a revelation of how circles support the evolution of man. His new piece (untitled) is a continuation of the cycle of life. Group shows include; Birmingham Bloomfield Art Show, Birmingham, MI, Beautiful Homes Showcase, Detroit, MI, Baigas Art Show, Detroit, MI; Ruth Mott Foundation Art in the Garden Apple Wood, Flint, MI and Dell Pryor, Detroit, MI. Rob’s works was also displayed in the 2013 Museum of Contemporary Art Post- Industrial Complex Publication. In 2013 Mr. Henderson installed Art pieces at Artscape during the river days in Detroit Michigan; Public art show in Royal Oak, Michigan and the Heidelberg Project in Detroit, Michigan. He enjoys working with all elements. Some of his work includes combining stones, woods and a mix of metals.
