My paintings communicate with the circle of life. I highlight our greatest resources capturing the human spirit, strength, and beauty of nature. My works are recognizable and intimate encompassing the world around us. With the richness of oils, I am able to capture the inner spirit and pride of people and the rich elements of nature. My color pallet comes from nature’s gifts and the rainbow of humanity. My social statements and historical depictions are both powerful and dignified. I use my art to motivate, encourage and uplift people. Inspiring the human imagination with threads of commonality through personality, language and the art of Mother Earth. I have completed 10 major collections for corporations reflecting a variety of cultures. I was honored to be the first artist of color to paint a sitting president, creating “The President Ford Mural” and to be referred to as the Special Olympics official artist by Eunice Shriver. President Carter called upon me to help propel the countries fitness program with the creation of the Presidential Fitness mural. I created the NASA space patch commemorating the first U.S. woman in space. Watson-Guptill, named me one of the top twenty figurative painters in America. Israel commissioned me to create the 40th anniversary depicting the diversity of the country. I believe in subliminal positive images of strength. They stay in our psyche and become part of our persona causing a ripple effect of emotion. This shapes the way in which we respond to the world around us.
