Nicola Renzi was born in Perugia in 1972. He attended the Koninklijke Accademie in The Hague and the "Pietro Vannucci" Fine Arts Academy in Perugia, where he graduated in painting in 1996. Since the early 1990s, when he created complex assemblages using elastics to form actual environments, he has consistently sought the latest elements in art, altering their usage and appearance to give them new life. Since 2002 he has been tenured professor at the Fine Arts Academy in Perugia, where he currently teaches sculpture. His most important public works include: the internal squares in the new Palazzo della Regione In Udine (2007) and the permanent site-specific installation “C’ERI C’ÈRI” for the new cemetery in Gubbio (2010).
