There are concerns in these works, the way the thoughts and consequently the opinion of individuals, are becoming victims of conformity in some alarming ways. A public opinion so homogenous is the result of the wide spread of large-scale content, new educators like cinema and video/music streaming services, create the new conventional wisdom. In all his works he discusses how the big numbers lend themselves to influence the collective thought, were the amount of followers and views too often determine where the individual's attention will go to. Legions of new believers profess new religions, the new prophets, the new speakers; influence. New rites are creating, "new prayers", new dogmas. With an emphasis on how to discern between what the prevalence is proposing, is becoming, more difficult and more ignored, the individual creates new divinities for themselves, to worship, without asking too many questions. The paintings of "WOW?" pose as their primary objective the amazement, a series of elements are made to interact in order to obtain this feeling, recalling the Baroque wonder. Atmosphere, composition and technique are the means used by the artist to create wonder and surprise. The exposure is another element not overlooked, each work presents a frame that comes from the most renowned museums, that turns into a magnetic element which will have the task of attracting the spectator, regardless of the content of the work. The frame becomes a metaphor for what could be a large number of followers or views; the individual will be drawn regardless. This series of paintings is reminiscent of an art as a propaganda object, Leonardo uses it as the instrument of deception, yet detection. The works are made of acrylic and acrylic resin molded with a spatula on canvas. Made up of several levels, that of the background, built by a typical gesture of the great masters of abstract expressionism on whose surface takes shape the foreground, rational, figurative, that touches the most stringent academic and painting techniques. For last remains the frame, this is applied with the dècupage technique, the choice of this method is a reference to infantilism, inherent in the gestures of this methodology. Decoupage that in a first appearance of the work makes fun of the viewer, deceiving him through trompe-l'oeil, attracting him in an a priori way, thus highlighting his "superficiality". The search for related subjects is fundamental, Lili examines the reality of entertainment present in the contemporary, analysing and trying to highlight the side less good that for some absurd reason is also the more attractive side, the one that is better suited to settle in the individual's daily life, which favors the development of a conformity of opinion and thought in its negative sense. Taking emphasise in this point by citing a few lines, words, poems, dialogues, gestures, signs, drawn from the content of global spread. The first subject, that is written or gestural, is in any case the language, in a second phase, the language is associated with the protagonist's face, the new pseudo-deities, the new pseudo-saint, finally setting a key part of this series, (the frame) that puts everything into question. It is a warning, subtle but of strong emotional impact, which suggests to the viewer that there is a veil of inauthenticity. One suggestion of how much thought and opinion are likely and easier to maneuver. Even in the paintings of "WOW?" like in those of the previous "VS" series, Leonardo does not pose the work exclusively as an object of contemplation but also as a projection of reflection. These works generate ambivalent sensations, on one hand it will be affected by the amazement, and on the other it will manifest the feeling of having been deceived in an unprecedented manner. A spectrum of diametrically opposed emotions, show how we are weak victims of mass diffusion. The attention paid to the individual parts of each work, the materials, the techniques employed and the conceptual value of each action taken in relation to the work was definitely inherited from the study of contemporary masters. The works of "WOW?" are ready to relate in a dynamic way with the attentive viewer, but can also make fun of the superficial viewer. created with the tools of large-scale deployment, to spread, more attention and awareness in individuals, of their individuality and particularity.
