Michael Smith is a Post-Doctoral Fellow and Assistant Director of the Critical Writing Program at the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual arts, where he teaches philosophy, aesthetics, and art theory. He also holds a Master of Fine Arts from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, where he studied painting.
