Mary Jane Pories, BA in Art and English, was the Art Director/Graphic Designer for a magazine before earning a Master’s in Teaching. She’s taught art in high school and Design Thinking using Applied improvisation for Kendall College of Art and Design. She's studied painting at Bennington College, Savannah College of Art and Design, and continues learning by regularly attending workshops, often with her father, her favorite painting partner. Her work is in private collections, appeared in the first edition of Salann Magazine, and has been exhibited locally in juried shows at the Franciscan Center, Celebration of the Arts, Bliss & Vinegar, Grand Valley Artists, All Art Works, ArtPrize, the Grand Haven Art Walk, and LowellArts. She was a plein air artist for Festival of the Arts 2021 and is proud to have had two paintings chosen to be showcased in both the virtual and in-person exhibitions.
