Mary Carol Kenney

The Woodlands, TX, United States

Mary Carol Kenney is a figurative oil painter currently living in Texas. She loves portrait painting but also loves using the figure to express her opinions about the world we live in, politics, and sociological observations. Her entry in ArtPrize 2015 was painted when the United States was gearing up for the war in Iraq. This work was originally 4 separate paintings that told a story about complacency. How a woman was ignoring the call to war and yet her subconscious was taking over when it came time to make the families' desserts. Mary Carol feels very lucky and grateful to get to do what she loves for a living.
