Does anyone ever read the Art Cred section? In awkward third-person? Okay. Well . . . Marie is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Art where she originally thought she'd like to study Kinesiology. It is across the street from the music school where Madonna attended three semesters, dropped out, and was on the radio (an ancient gizmo for relaying sound waves) a few years later. Back to me . . . A bit later in life, Marie lived and created at the beautiful and historic Cranbrook Academy of Art, where she was somewhat unsurprised to find no art uniform, not even a lapel pin. If you see her on the street or at The Artist's Studio [Formerly Known as MoDiv], give her a salute so she'll know you are one of the very few who ventured this far. But let the work speak for itself and judge it not based upon the reputation of a Top Five institution that no one outside the arts ever heard of. In more practical matters, Marie has decades of experience and skills in digital imagery, beginning with Macs in the 80's, continued into commercial print and design industries with pre-press, scanning, color corrections, file formatting, data processing and analysis, layout, trapping, separations, a myriad of hardware, software, and peripherals . . . all of which quietly contribute to her studio processes today, especially her "FODOMOsaics": contemporary color-by-number mosaic kits on vellum which she offers on commission. Anyone can draw their own unique heirloom-quality work of art based on their most cherished photo-image beginning at $120. Just ask! :) And/or peruse www.BIT-by-BIT.me
