I started painting, exclusively with oil paints, about ten years ago. The subjects of my paintings are primarily places I have visited, including this painting of the Grand Canyon. I moved to the Grand Rapids area of Michigan eight years ago, having lived most of my life in the Chicago area. I love the artistic climate of Grand Rapids, the many opportunities for art instruction, and especially the Art Prize event.
