Manal Kadry graduated from College for Creative Studies in 2006 with a degree in Product Design and Certification to teach Visual Art K-12. She also graduated from Grand Valley State university with a Masters of education degree in Education leadership and Administration in 2013. She has been teaching at Henry Ford Academy: School for Creative Studies since 2009. She has written curriculum and has taught classes like, product design, interior design, advanced painting, community arts and foundations of art and design classes across grade levels. Some of the projects she has designed have gotten national recognition and are apart of permanent exhibits in Michigan. Featured projects are located at The African American Museum in Detroit with a Fela Kuti mural, friends of Henry Ford Located in the GVSU charter building in Detroit and many more. She is the Design Thinking lead for the high school where she assists teachers with curriculum writing in project based learning and allows for students to solve real problems within their community. She is on the committee for the annual Design Expo that highlights students problem solving skills through the design thinking methodology. Manal is also the Lead Designer at Design by MK where she practices interior design. Her strengths as an interior designer are color, renovations, and space planning.
