My goal as a contemporary artist is to use elements, particularly color and compositional design, to draw the viewer into the work and spontaneously inject their own experience into the moment of viewing. I use ideas connected to nature and nurture to explore my heritage and to connect with other's spirituality, knowledge, and sense of conjecture. Whether combining media or rendering in a single medium, these forms extend both my need to investigate and create, and my goal to challenge and enchant the viewer. Private collections, public art placements, and commissions are my primary venues for work supplemented by galleries and gift shops. My background includes an Associates degree in Photographic Science from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Siena Heights University in printmaking and book arts. I have also been flame working glass for the past fifty years, and owned a bakery and café for thirty years. My primary contemporary goal is to delve deeper into the ambiguities of metaphor.
