My body of work is centered around automobiles from the 1930’s-70’s when the body, shape and form of cars where designed at their finest. Owners of these restored beauties speak of them as their women and treat their vehicles as a precious possession. Restored automobiles are waxed at there finest, stripped of any rust, lacking any true sign of age. My paintings don’t only surround the car itself but the story behind them. Raised in Pontiac, Michigan on the heart of Woodward ave I grew loving retro automobiles harvested from the motor city. Restoring vehicles was one of her past memories that created myself as an artist today. Images chosen for my work are compiled from bold statement cars, which possess features that are distinctly recognized to specific automobiles. In my paintings I capture and reflect recognizable body shapes, from taillights, grills, mirrors to side paneling .
