Lobster sculpture was created from an old truck exhaust pipe, scrap metal, nails, coat hangars, bolts and copper tubing. I formed the metal on an anvil and sand bag, welding the items together with a gas torch. Armed with two aersol paint cans, one in each hand-while simultaneously switching colors, I painted the lobster. The trap was formed from old scrap lumber and neighbor's chicken fence wire. The fish heads inside the trap for bait are made from wood and soup can lids for the fins. The bouy marker was turned on a lathe and a broom handle stem inserted and painted different colors to represent ownership of the trap.
