The Secret Annex is a 3D representation of Anne Frank's room in the annex. It contains a realistic representation of her bed, desk, diary and many other items in her room. Anne Frank is an original sculpt by Kimberly and cast in resin. She is fully jointed with 15 points of articulation in a realistic, moveable, detailed sculpture approx, 30" tall as well as her sister, Margot and Peter who were also hiding in the annex with his family. They all are dressed in vintage fabrics from the 1940's in cotton, and wool. The eyes are german hand-blown glass and the hair is human hair. This piece is a glimpse into the world of Anne and the other 2 children that lived in the Secret Annex for a year and a half. Anne's room is filled with posters of movie stars that her father snuck over from her bedroom, her diary, her books. Quiet excerpts of passages from her diary will softly play while the viewer takes in the display. In progress photos will be added this week.
