Karin Nelson is an award-winning, published, full-time artist, painting in acrylics. Timeless structures have been her focus for the past number of years: stately city buildings or aged and weathered barns. Recently, large skies and country fields have also won her attention. Karin has close to 300 paintings in public, corporate and private collections. She is represented by LaFontsee Galleries in Grand Rapids and Douglas, and Somebody's Gallery in Petoskey, MI. She has received multiple awards, been accepted into many juried exhibitions, and has had various appearances on television, radio, in the press, and on a billboard. She was also the winner of Tulip Time's Poster Contest in 2014. Karin lives in Wyoming, MI with her husband of 42 years. They have 3 grown children, a son-in-law, and 3 precious granddaughters.
