Living in Michigan all my life, river experiences have been impactful. Childhood memories of paper industries along the Kalamazoo River recall images of polluted waterways, followed by a gradual societal awakening about the value of caring for our water resources and the web of life sustained by them. Needle felting with died wool fibers, engages a tactile and colorful interface with nature for me, and, has provided a delightful journey in the creation of, "Two Down, One for Hope."
