I strive to view the world through a child-like lens – full of color, whimsy and honesty. To do this, I often juxtapose kid-like drawings with more realistic paintings in an effort to help people consider a familiar story or part of nature. I've shown my work around the US, and as far away as Kenya where I did an art show in Nairobi to raise money for the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife. My murals can be found in many schools, children’s hospitals and churches, including murals in Kenya, Zambia, Bethlehem (as in Oh Little Town of...), Germany and the exotic world of northern Wisconsin. Last year my art was presented to the Pope, and to the President of Columbia and FARQ leaders during peace talks. As an illustrator, I've contributed to more than a half a dozen books for children, including "A, B See?" which was created out of a past ArtPrize entry, and most recently "At God's Table" for Calvin Press. In addition to my artistic pursuits, I created Come On Over!, a children’s television program that won two National Telly awards and 13 regional Emmy awards.
