I am a retired school administrator living with my wife Lynda on the Hiawatha Sportsmans Club in Engadine, Michigan. I have had a lifelong passion for woodworking and nature in all forms; winning national awards for waterfowl carving in both the United States and Canada. I became interested in woodturning because of its wood sculpting aspects. Much of my work involves using the “basket Illusion” work of David Nittman. I also incorporate a variety of natural themes in my turnings. The turning “Leaving the Nest” is based on an encounter with a female partridge and her brood.
