For as long as she can remember, Jilly Barnes has been an artist. As a child, she sculpted ducks with her mother’s pie dough. Artwork continued to be a driving force in her life as she discovered drawing, painting, and sculpting. Jilly earned a bachelor's degree in illustration from Kendall College of Art and Design and sold her work at juried art shows while her artwork continued to evolve. When Jilly experimented with her first piece of glass in the kiln, another avenue of expressing herself began. That was 18 years ago. Now, in Pentwater, Michigan, Jilly is able to share her unique style and talents with all those that stop into her gallery. Jilly believes "we are all born with a gift and when we share that talent with others we then actually receive the true gift". Whether Jilly is volunteering at schools, demonstrating at her gallery or working in her cabin studio, she creates artwork every day. Jilly feels blessed to love what she does and do what she loves each and every day
