I started sewing clothing at age 14. After many years of outfitting my family I discovered the world of improvisational quilting; no patterns, no rulers, design as you go style of quilting design and construction. I have not developed a signature style, with each piece being some thing new and challenging. I have incorporated quilting techniques into jackets and more recently tote bags and purses. I love bright colors and seldom use earth tones. Many pieces include silk and rayon fabrics from vintage Japanese kimono.
