Ilene has a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and holds a Fellowship in Social Practice in the Department of Fine and Performing Arts of Saint Louis University. In 2015 she was awarded a St. Louis Visionary Artist award. Her work has been featured in Alive Magazine, Sculpture Magazine, the St. Louis Beacon, St. Louis Post-Dispatch and on the BBC.
