Heather Ward-Migner started her career as a photographer and painter having showings and working on commissions regionally in the Northern United States. She soon became a full time teaching artist and worked with arts and community nonprofits as a visiting artist and art instructor. Ward-Migner began to make little wooden sculptures with her oldest daughter. These sculptures lead her to create the business Star House, where Ward-Migner creates simple wooden sculptures for decoration and celebration. Most of this work is commissioned and is found in thousands of homes nationally and internationally. In addition to designing for and managing Star House, she is hard at work creating paintings, ceramics, wire wall sculptures, and large fabric vessels. These works she sells regionally, in the Southern United States. For over a decade she has worked little by little on "All One Many Names". Creating for Ward-Migner is a mediation on what is true, inspiring and possible. She finds so much grace, love, and awe through creating and hopes to share a little of that with everyone who encounters her work.
