New Orleans based and Louisiana born artist Heather Marie Dickens also known under the alias of Sunny Side Art has made a name for herself internationally. Heather has been a professional visual artist for over 10 years and is heavily involved in the arts community. She is a lover of nature and biological science. Her works depict animals painted in various colors and often whimsical surrealistic compositions. Heather also paints anatomical hearts and other organs in her series. The hearts have gained global interest in the medical field for their accuracy while adding Heathers creative elements. Heather has designed and executed several mural projects in the United States. Her work has been featured at some of the top artist exhibitions including ArtScape, Neptune, and Three Rivers in Pittsburgh. Heather along with her husband and partnering artist Jason Rodriguez participate in art festivals around the U.S. including but not limited to Pecan Street Festival TX, Allentown NY, and Manayunk PA. Currently, Heather lives and works in New Orleans under the alias of “Sunny Side Art”. She has sold her artwork internationally and supports global wildlife. She is an established artist and entrepreneur, and currently represented by Red Fish Bowl Gallery, Miette, and Secondline Arts.
