After 5 years of muddling through college, switching majors from Sociology, to Psychology, to Education and finally landing on Communication, I decided to open a pottery shop. Pottery proved to be therapeutic, but it was difficult to make a living. I taught myself how to weld in order to make display racks for the pottery shop, and I soon found myself drawn to making more and more things out of steel. I made a turtle out of an old army helmet and set it out on the front porch of the pottery shop- a customer came in and wanted to buy it! That began the journey some 15 years ago. Since that time, I became the proud Father of 4 kids, and a totally awesome wife (though not in that order) I love making treasures out of other people's trash. Rusty outdoor art is some of the coolest stuff in the world.
