A self-taught, generally un-edified wood sculptor for 35 years, . Primary focus is "realistic" portraiture, emphasizing character, most often of rural folks. Generally in mezzo-relief (tho production includes many in-the-round works, ranging from miniatures to life-size, impressionistic and caricature as well as realistic). 99% of timber used in production has been harvested and cured by the artist, .
