Inspired to find the cause of his springtime allergies, for the last 3 years Francis Schanberger has been collecting parts of trees, scanning them and printing them in the historical Vandyke Brown process. Francis Schanberger received his MFA in photography from the Ohio State University in 2002. Since graduating, Francis has received three Individual Artist Fellowships from the Ohio Arts Council as well as a residency at the Headlands Center for the Arts. This summer he will be an artist in residence at Emmanuel College in Boston. He currently teaches photography at the University of Dayton.
