Hello, my name is Forrest Miller. I knew I wanted to be an artist at a young age. I drew portraits and sketched the masters sitting on the floor at the Detroit Institute of Arts through grade school. I developed into a painter taking art classes at my Bay City high school and Delta College, and decided to major in Illustration at Kendall College of Art & Design. I graduated from Kendall with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2013. I am still a resident of Grand Rapids, and my work has been in exhibitions at the Midland Center for the Arts Greater Michigan Arts Exhibition, the Birmingham-Bloomfield Hills Art Center and Bay City Players Theatre. My work has also been shown at the Cat’s Meow Gallery in Bay City, Delta College, Grand Rapids restaurants, and from 2012 to 2018 I've been apart of Art Prize at the B.O.B.. My illustrations were also used for the Hopsun beer label at the B.O.B. and on a rap CD cover. I also most recently illustrated my first book cover called "Rebel Without Applause." One of my main specialties is portraits. I love the challenge of getting the detail accurate on a person's face and expression. I have been commissioned by Delta College in Saginaw-Bay City area, to do pencil portraits of major donors to the college. Feel free to contact me about a commissioned portrait, painting or illustration: email@example.com or to view my artwork, please look me up on facebook at https://m.facebook.com/forrest.miller.140.
