I'm an Indiana native, retired to Michigan. While I have degrees in Landscape Architecture and Sculpture, pencil drawing is my constant "go to". I love to work with natural subjects, collecting flowers, leaves, plants and, even bugs. I can get a lot of detail from direct observation. Oddly, my personal style....drawings from my mind's eye...are very whimsical, even child-like. Run with Scissors came to life when I found a simple roll of drawing paper in an abandoned house. I was feeling stuck and decided to turn the paper into a free-flow exercise! I let the thoughts pop and drew whatever I could, just to loosen up...the paper roll ended at almost 14 feet, so did the exercise...
