I use traditional textile techniques and materials to create my artwork. Dozens, sometimes hundreds, of fabrics are improvisationally cut, sewn and restructured into new forms. After receiving a BFA at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, I worked as an art director and freelance illustrator for clients such as the US Post Office, Children's Television Workshop and the Wall Street Journal. In 2009, I began working as a fiber artist and have since exhibited in national and international juried exhibitions.
