

Dorothy Dorney obtained her Masters of Fine Arts in Advertising Design/Illustration from Marywood University, in Scranton Pennsylvania, earned her Bachelors of Science in Art Education from University of Michigan, and graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Jewelry Design. She has many years of professional experience as a designer. Her commercial experience, acquired in the New York and Detroit area sectors, and her freelance work, includes: graphic and jewelry design. She has conducted workshops at the Michigan Arts Education Association annual conference and summer professional development institutions and is considered a multi-faceted designer and teaching professional. Her practical experience includes a diverse visual arts portfolio: graphic/product design, digital art, metals, fibers/textiles, drawing/painting, and ceramics.
