I am an amateur artist who has been studying seriously for the past three years. My ArtPrize entry was exhibited in a community arts center student show. Since attending classes at The Cleveland Museum of Art as an elementary school student, I have periodically dabbled in various media. I found my passion for sculpture after viewing the works of Louise Nevelson, Allan Houser and Jesus Morales. Studying art and participating in an Oklahoma Arts Council task force on integrating art into education, have taught me a new appreciation for the work of others and the critical thinking skills needed.
