Debbie Hoskins was born in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. She is a spiritual artist and writer, which is defined as drawing and writing to process emotions and daily occurrences to inspire others and to understand and create personal meaning. Labyrinths are a basis of her artwork. She is the author and illustrator of _Exploring Labyrinths_ and a certified labyrinth facilitator. The labyrinth is a meditative tool. It has ancient beginnings, but is found in the Catholic tradition, and is practiced today in many different churches, organizations, and institutions. By walking we can heal from trauma and other issues. By viewing her fine art and reading her books, She wants you to be transformed by your own creativity and spirituality. Her work is musical because she uses symbols, including labyrinths, waterfalls, colors, and shapes, instead of notes and sounds to create an emotional atmosphere. A common theme for her is light and color coming out of darkness. She uses art and photographic references sparingly and only for figures. Compasses are not used to draw labyrinth designs. Images are purposely hand drawn to produce unique art. Curriculum Vitae is available at debbiehoskins.org. Girlfriend, grandmother, mother, and daughter. A busking keyboardist. Contemporary dancer. Listener to non-fiction, fiction, and music. Journaler. Walker of the dogs.
