I loved the location and feel of the Blue Bridge & began to strategize different ideas on what could successfully work on this venue. It was also important to me to keep an animal theme as I once again planning to partner with the HSWM. I came up with the idea of monkeys hanging from the bridge. Upon my return, I started right away on the artwork and design, rendered it in CAD and created the first prototype in December 2010. Each monkey is 4 1/2 feet tall, 2 feet wide and 6 inches deep and each weighs about 30 pounds. They are made of Steel and are designed to oxidize into a rich brown color. As you can see from the mock up of the bridge, the monkeys will hang in groupings of two or three. A grouping of two will be about 9 feet long and three will be 13 1/2 feet long. They can hang from each others tails and some even hang upside down. They were specifically designed for the pedestrian bridge. Great care went into ensuring safety, feasibilty, practicality, & creati
