My earlier sculptures were made of terra cotta. I would apply lace draping and glazes, then apply multiple coats of oil paint to the finished figures until they began to appear life-like. As I looked for more challenges, I moved into oil based clay. I worked and studied at the Palette and Chisel Art Studio, Koh-Varilla Guild and Rotblatt-Amrany Studio, to name a few. Projects from these studios are at famous places, worldwide, and are familiar to many. While a member of these studios and guilds, I honed my skills, working on my artwork as well as working under the masters. While under their tutelage, I learned the techniques of monumental sculptures.
