After spending three year freelancing and gaining her B.A. in art history and history from Aquinas College in 2016, Callie Cherry set on a path to provide a platform for young local artists to display work and make change. In August 2016, Cerasus Studio opened to the public with the intent to create as few limits as possible to artists 18-30 who seek to exhibit. In her free time, Callie is an avid reader and a fiber artist. Her fiber works are heavily inspired by literature and text, family dynamics, and mental health. Callie lives in Grand Rapids with her two cats, her partner, and a vibrant community of creatives.
