“Since I was very young, I’ve always loved reading comic books and watching cartoons, and eventually began drawing them. I never imagined that my love would eventually become my profession, and I’m so grateful that it happened that way. I attended a local art college where my artistic abilities were expanded into live model drawings, painting, design, and sketching. I worked as a guest speaker at local schools and was hired to teach youth art classes at Rockford summer arts program. I’m now a freelance artist, which gives me more time to work on my own art. This freedom means my creative life today is much more interesting as the diversity of the work is so great. My mission in each painting is to keep a visual image going even though the sight of it no longer exists. I’m always looking for that one image that captures the viewer’s very soul and, captures the true essence of what needs to keep going on…to bring life to images of souls, animals, plant life, and landscapes.” Exhibitions: Frederik Meijer Botanical Gardens Juried Exhibition, Spectrum Health's Cultural Arts Exhibition, Celebration Juried Competion of Religious Art, Grand Rapids Juried Annual Visual Arts Exhibit, One Woman Art Exhibit at Terryberry Gallery. Professional Membership: Vice President Rivertown Artists Guild. Honors: Rivertown Artists Guild Purchase Award, Lansing Art Gallery Honorable Mention just to name a few.
