Bridget Rosalia Driessen is a visual artist living and working in the Chicago region. She has studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, DePaul University, the University of Chicago, and will commence her studies for a Post-Bacclaureate Certificate in Painting and Drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Fall 2015. She currently produces oil paintings with a focus on the subtle edge between figuration and abstraction through various techniques that are meant to explore concerns of, in no particular order: family, identity, large group dynamics, familial myth, isolation, childhood, trauma, femininity and broadly, the limnal space between clear demarcations.
