Artists explaing their proposal at Pitch Night Minneapolis, 2013.

We’re pleased to announce that our Pitch Night grant program is returning and expanding in 2014. The event invites artists from another city to give a short pitch about an ambitious idea for an ArtPrize installation. The audience and a panel of expert judges ask questions of the artists, and the best idea wins a $5,000 grant to realize their project at ArtPrize 2014.

Pitch Night Cincinnati

New for 2014, ArtPrize is expanding Pitch Night to Cincinnati, Ohio. ArtPrize is partnering with 21c Museum Hotels, whose Cincinnati location will host the event. Artists from the area will pitch ideas for installations on Louis Campau Promenade, a public pedestrian walkway and garden that connects major downtown hotels to the Grand Rapids Art Museum and other key ArtPrize locations.

Pitch Night Cincinnati will take place on May 22 at 7:00 p.m. at 21c Museum Hotel. Interested artists are encouraged to attend an information session with a representative from ArtPrize on April 17 at 7:00 p.m. at 21c Museum Hotel.

Pitch Night Minneapolis will take place on June 26 at 7:00 p.m. in the Walker Cinema. Interested artists are encouraged to attend an information session with a representative from ArtPrize on April 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the Walker Art Lab.
