Today we’re excited to announce the launch of the ‘Arts For All’ ArtPrize Challenge. In collaboration with Michigan-based fundraising platform CrowdRise, ArtPrize extended the innovative fundraising campaign to nonprofit arts and culture organizations in Grand Rapids. Ten art and culture nonprofit organizations in the Grand Rapids area have stepped up to the Challenge for the chance to win $50,000 in cash prizes. Each participating organization works closely with ArtPrize, and stands the chance of winning part of the prize money. The Challenge started today, September 15, at Noon and runs through October 20, 2015 at 2 p.m. EST.

“There’s a catalytic energy surrounding the ArtPrize season, and we hope that organizations participating in this challenge will harness that energy to excite their current supporters and attract new ones from among the hundreds of thousands of people that will descend on Grand Rapids over the next few weeks during ArtPrize,” noted Christian Gaines, ArtPrize Executive Director. “These organizations do incredible work in our community all year-round, and the ‘Arts For All’ challenge is intended to support that work.”

Participating organizations will raise money through CrowdRise during the challenge timeframe, and the three organizations that raise the most money during the challenge period will receive donations to their cause. First place will receive $20,000; second place $10,000; and third place $5,000. An additional $15,000 will be awarded through four unique bonus challenges that will take place throughout the campaign. All participating organizations will keep the money that they raise during the 'Arts For All' ArtPrize Challenge.
