With alternative transportation on the rise, ArtPrize has taken notice and provided those who ride bicycles a great opportunity to get to and from downtown in a safe, accessible manner. This year we have developed a bike valet and corral for our visitors who choose to use two wheels instead of four.
Our ever-helpful and friendly ArtPrize volunteers will staff a bicycle valet located at our HUB on 41 Sheldon. It works like a coat check: you ride up, fill out some brief information, and your bike is in our safe hands! In case the valet fills up, be sure to bring a bike lock and our volunteers will assist you in finding the closest location to safely lock up your bike. The valet is open for limited hours on the weekdays and weekends, so be sure you can make it back in time!
If you want to come and go as you please without worrying about valet hours, a bike corral will be available near the ArtPrize Clubhouse at the Ledyard building on Monroe Center Street. Note that this is not staffed; you’ll be responsible for bringing your own lock. We encourage anyone to use these free resources while making the most of ArtPrize.
