Educators and researchers alike cited a strong link between arts education and higher academic achievement.
That link is why PNC has served as presenting sponsor for ArtPrize Education Days for ten consecutive years. In that time, tens of thousands of West Michigan pre-K to high school students have experienced a wide variety of unique and inspiring artwork, including paintings, drawings, sculptures from recycled materials, metal art, fabric creations, ice sculptures, performing arts and more. The students have participated in ArtPrize activities made possible by the ArtPrize education team and community partners who provide the curriculum and instruction. In 2019, the artists featured in Project 1 inspired the next generation of great innovators— people who will figure out new ways of doing things and new things to do.
PNC has a long history of supporting educational efforts. Our signature philanthropic effort – PNC Grow Up Great® – is a multi-year, $500 million commitment to helping underserved children achieve success in school and life.
By partnering with ArtPrize in support of Education Days, we hope to make a positive difference in the lives of local kids that will last a lifetime.
